A self-taught artist, Elizabeth Hodes founded Elizabeth Hodes Custom Cakes & Sugar Art in 2005 and gained swift acclaim for her innovative designs and exquisite craftsmanship. She is widely recognized by her colleagues and the media for her unrivaled artistry, daring creations, and meticulous detail with a particular knack for realism. Elizabeth has appeared on Food Network, Cooking Channel’s Food(ography), and ABC’s Good Morning America. Her cakes have been seen in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, New York Weddings, Brides, Modern Bride, Brides New York, and The Knot Live.
Elizabeth is based in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, though her commissions have taken her as far west as Los Angeles and east to the Caribbean, most recently St-Barthélemy in the French West Indies. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Classics from Princeton University and a Masters of Music in Piano Performance from the Manhattan School of Music.
