Elizabeth Hodes is a self-taught artist. She founded Elizabeth Hodes Custom Cakes & Sugar Art in 2005 and gained swift acclaim. She is widely recognized by the media and her colleagues for her work’s exceptional precision, balance, and realism. Her cakes have been featured in New York Weddings, Brides, Modern Bride, Brides New York, The Knot, Quest, South Asian Bride, and Glamour. Elizabeth has appeared on MTV, Bravo, Food Network, ABC’s Good Morning America, and Cooking Channel's Foodography.
Elizabeth is based in New York City, though her commissions have taken her as far west as Los Angeles and east to the Caribbean, most recently St. Barthelemy in the French West Indies. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Classics from Princeton University and a Masters of Music in Piano Performance from the Manhattan School of Music.
